My Style


I want this to feel like you are spending time with a friend - who happens to have to have a camera in hand. When you feel relaxed with me, you will look great on camera, and I will capture those authentic moments of joy and connection - this is what I am all about. I want our session together to tell your story, one that will only appreciate in value over time.


So many of us can feel awkward in front of the camera, but that's what I am here for - I will guide you in a fun and relaxed way through our session. There will be no awkward poses or stiff expressions. I want you to look back on these memories for years to come and feel that they are true to exactly who you are.


MY JOURNEY


Get to know me


Growing up, I spent all my spare time in studios and on stage, dancing and playing music, until I matriculated. Attracted to the colourful world of advertising, I graduated with a degree in marketing management (where I also met my husband), and spent the first 12 years of my career managing an amazing collection of brands and leading talented teams for multinational clients.

I bought my first real camera after my wedding, and I have been in love with photography ever since.


In 2014, I left South Africa with my husband to begin a decade's long adventure living in Hong Kong and Japan.

This is when I turned my passion into my profession, learning everything I could from incredibly talented photographers, and investing my time to master this art form I love so much.


I started out capturing the most tender moments of love in intimate family shoots with friends, and I knew this is what I was always meant to do.

I am obsessed with animals, having grown up in a house full of pets, and am mom to two adopted Japanese kitties who rule the roost.

When I am not taking portraits for clients, I am exploring my city, camera in hand, and am always planning our next adventure. My wanderlust has led me all over the world, and I love immersing myself in a new place, soaking up as much as I can.

I love sharing a bottle of wine with friends over a delicious meal, or cozying up on the couch with a good cup of tea to watch my favourite movie. Chocoholic. Occasional yogi. 'Outsidey', more than outdoorsy. I want to grow old in a cabin by a lake surrounded by snowy mountains.


What lights me up


I am always finding inspiration from different disciplines. The form of renaissance sculptures. The movement of a classical ballerina. The composition and colour palettes of my favourite cinematography. The captivating story-telling from my most loved song writers and authors. The awe-inspiring design of the world’s best architecture. The way light can completely transform an epic landscape.

And those exquisite moments of connection. The emotion behind the eyes.
